The Foo Fighters haven’t played Romagna — a region of Northern Italy on the Adriatic Sea — since 1997, and Romagnan fans are sick of waiting. So they devised a project called Rockin’ 1000: 1000 musicians and singers would come together to play the Foo Fighters’ “Learn to Fly” in unison to get Dave Grohl’s attention. The ultimate goal: Bring the Foo Fighters to the city of Cesena. Here’s what 1,000 people playing “Learn to Fly” looks and sounds like:
