R2D2 Shows Princess Leia Who’s Boss in Bizarre Cosplay Scenario

R2D2 had his own ideas for making the Princess’ holographic message more effective.

The Australian cosplayer Lady Jaded gets full marks for a good Slave Leia, an outfit that is a staple of many a cosplayer’s wardrobe. And she gets extra credit for doing Leia in her white robes, which is not nearly as eye-catching a look. And our hat is off to her for making the trip to the dunes of Lancelin, Australia (about an hour north of Perth) to achieve an authentic Tatooine sandscape.

And a huge round of applause for the photographer, whose name we can’t locate, because without the pictures this would be the worst website post ever.

But it’s really the brilliance, the sheer brilliance, of putting R2D2 in the role of dominating, horny robot that makes this special. Because R2D2 is clearly a droid with a rebellious streak and a taste for the ladies. He’s always (understandably) snapping at C-3PO and fixing things on his own initiative. Take off his restraining bolt and he’ll split almost immediately. And after playing the hologram of Leia for Luke and Obi-Wan a couple times, he cuts them off, preferring to keep his princess imprisoned within his rusty innards.

According to these pictures, if Artoo and the Princess were stranded on the dunes of Tatooine, it’s clear who’d be the boss of whom. Whether yanking Slave Leia’s chain or whipping off her white robes, R2D2 wears the pants. So to speak.

Some Lady Jaded fans who’ve seen these pictures protest that they’re not accurate due to George Lucas’ rule that “there’s no underwear in space.” Which is the fans’ passive way of asking to see her naked. It’s an entertaining thought, but then, she would never have been able to post these to her facebook.com/LadyJaded page. Some of the images are also available as signed prints from Lady Jaded’s shop at Storenvy.

And we’re stumped as to why this set of pictures finishes with a brief appearance by Boba Fett. It’s all Artoo and Leia fun and games until the end, when Boba Fett shows up for one picture and she melts. That is one smooth dude.

  5. on a serious note dude, models are all artists. they're not objects that exist to satisfy the unrealistic desires of subhumans like you. it took a lot of work to put together this set, costumes and getting the right shots and they didn't do it for you. nobody cares about you. and Im not a sjw that bitches at everyone but i noticed youre a douche for saying that.
