Can You Dig It? “The Warriors” Getting Back Together for Coney Island Fest

The Warriors

Here’s something for fans of The Warriors who will be in New York City September 13 — in fact, even if you’re not in NYC, this may be worth making the trip.

The original cast of the 1979 cult classic will be reuniting at Coney Island’s Surf Pavilion for a day of Warriors madness. The festivities will include a showing of the film, photo ops, signings, a Warriors cosplay contest, and a panel discussion with cast members.

Here’s who’s on board:

Michael Beck, who played Swan; Dorsey Wright, who played Cleon; David Harris, who played Cochise; Bryan Tyler, who played Snow, Thomas G Waites, who played Fox and Terry Michos, who played Vermin will be joined by special guests Deborah Van Valkenburgh, who played Mercy; Jery Hewitt, who playued Muson the Furies Leader and Apache Ramos, the leader of the Orphans. There will also be three of the original Furies from the film. Punk Leader Konrad Sheehan will also be at the Coney Island Warriors Fest.

The members of the Punks, Orphans and Furies are recent additions to the lineup, which leads us to believe other memorable tough guys may come out of the woodwork as momentum builds.
