WHAT'S
ON MY BRAIN: October 14, 2004
Hey all! Here I am again, not to far off from my promise of the update
from the last update October 1st, it's the 14th and I'm back with you!
Again, sorry for not being so on top of the site the way I used to--I
really do enjoy getting up here and keeping in touch with you all, and
I getting closer to getting and keeping that on track--I hope.
Actually, I think web master KR needed the break from me sending all
the section updates because Howie in the main Heavy Metal office cut
a bunch of new product deals, and KR had to post about 100 new items
to the store--videos, books, the 2005 calendars, the new posters--all
of which are just in time for your Christmas shopping! Well, a little
early, but you could make your own "Wish List" for someone
special to buy for you…heh! Either way, check'em out.

Speaking
of new cool items to check out, "Troma Films" just released
a new film called "Julie Strain's Tales from the Crapper!"
Man is it a hoot! Crazy, fucked up, Troma style movie making at it's
best! I love Lloyd Kaufman, and have every Troma film ever made, and
think any fans of this genre are going to love it. Yours truly even
have a couple of piss your pants laughing scenes, and of course, like
in many of the films I act in, I fortunately get killed early on. You
should be able to find the DVD in just about any retail store, or you
can go to www.troma.com and order it there. The first photo is of an
early mock up of the box cover.

| The
next four photos in this week's update are of a really cool project Simon
and I were asked to contribute to--a good friend of ours, John Dolmayan
drummer for "System of a Down" and a huge comic fan, got many
of his favorite artists to draw on a new set of drums he's putting together--and
we got to do the main "base" drum! Totally cool! Simon did the
"Hulk" and "Thing" on one side, and I did "Fakk2"
and the "TMNT's" on the other. These are some shots as I was
putting some finishing touches on it, which I kept doodling on for another
two weeks! I just finished it up last Friday. I think you guys will love
the finished look of the whole set--can't wait to see it all together
myself. I'll be sure to get a "complete" set shot of it for
you all soon. |

| The
next two photos I found while gutting, and cleaning out the LA studio--the
place was a wreck--four or five years of piling stuff into it, and I just
couldn't work in it any more--but that's another story I'll finish some
other time--so anyway, the photos--these are from the Heavy Metal movie
licensing program! My agent Russell Binder had pulled together a skate
board "deck" deal, the company that made the decks wanted me
to take some photos of Julie holding them for a series of AD's they were
running--so I took these. I think we helped the company see more than
a few boards… |

| Lastly
for this week, I wanted to show off another cool car. I got up to Maine
to visit the family a few weeks a ago, just in time to see the changing
of the leaves, and a car my Dad just finished building, a 1932 Ford Roadster.
It took him about seven years to track down the parts from car flea markets
and junk collectors, and another five years to build it piece by piece
in his spare time. I think it is amazing anyone can do this kind of project--and
all of it was worth it to see the grin on his face driving it--our ride
together in it was only the second time he had it our on the road. |

Okay,
I'm off to bed --the only other thing I wanted to add to last weeks
"What's on" is that I forgot to mention my good friend Joe
Pearson and I are working on the "Highlander" animated project
together, and are feeling pretty good about the progress so far. We
are working with a wonderful writer, David Abramowitz, who has turned
out a solid script. We are also teamed up with the amazing Yoshiaki
Kawajiri to direct. Looking forward to giving you more updates on that
soon.
You all take care, and I'll be back talking to you soon.
