WHAT'S
ON MY BRAIN 6-27-04
Alright--what
happened to JUNE?! I'm loving this summer thing--even though I live
in LA, where it is summer allot longer than the rest of the country,
but where the hell went June? I feel like two days ago I wrote saying,
"Woo Hoo! It's the first day of summer!" and now June is gone!
Not to be a bummer, but shit man, but "Jane--slow this crazy ride
down!" I want it to last…we haven't even had time to throw
a decent party here, so now I gotta show you photos from one of last
years bashes!
Regardless,
I hope it will get you in the mood, to make the most of July! And for
those of you who haven't seen Michael Moore's new movie, the 4th of
July weekend is perfect. I saw it with some friends last Saturday--I'm
not gonna tell you what I think, you watch it for yourself and make
up your own mind. Is George Bush the idiot we want back in next year,
or is John Kerry a bigger idiot we should worry about? It's going to
be a tough year to drag our selves to the voting booth in November…
Anyhoo,
back to the party pic's. The first one is of me and my date for the
day, our dog "Baby." I may be a drunk idiot from time to time,
but she's the only one that thinks it's funny!

Beyond
looking back at 2003 party, and planning for a new one to post for ya,
we've also been gearing up for this years San Diego Comic Con! Bisley,
Royo, Horley, Giovanni, Sperlonga, and yours truly will be trying to
not act hung over for the 22nd to the 25th of July, so come by and see
us at one of the greatest comic shows on the planet in three weeks!
Speaking of which, I should dust off the booth, and make sure it will
still stand this time out.
There's
lots of the regular weekly updates to the site, all worth seeing, but
I do want to mention this will the last week I update my "TMNT"
section--it was fun, although it never completely fit with the Heavy
Metal universe--except the fact that buying Heavy Metal magazine in
the 70's led me to self publishers, and to self publishing the green
guys in the first place--but regardless, I'm going to replace it with
a Heavy Metal Events section, that will show, well, Heavy Metal events
from years past to the present. Should be fun.
I'll have
some more summer special offers for you next week, but this time out
I want to turn your attention to the original art section where I added
10 pages of Rick Veitch written and pencilled, Kevin Eastman inked pages
from the original Miage Publishing series "North by Down East!"
This two issue series featured John Totleben covers, and has never been
reprinted or collected. These are exclusive to the site, and at $60
a pop, perfect to add to your original art collection!

That's
it for me this week, more next, if I can find my computer!
