Hey Kids!
What’s going on this week you ask? Well, first I want to say I
hope you all had a great Halloween, ours was a hoot! We went to a killer
party with a bunch of friends and stayed up way to late pretending to
be drunk and scary—which we sorta were...
Pop me some links to images over at the message boards if you came up
with some cool costumes you want to share with me and all the other
fans. |
| Picture
one is of Julie, Olivia, and I, putting the final touches on our costumes
before heading out. I was paying homage to my nephew Trevor who was one
of the actors in the film "Eight Legged Freaks" so I had to
make an outfit of a mutant spider eating me. Julie, and Olivia’s
costumes were to be sexy and cool, which I think they accomplished. |

Last Thursday
night I went to the airport to pick up a friend (I’ll tell you who
in a minute) but showed up a day early because I wrote down the wrong
arrival date, but the funny part, is so did he! He showed up at his airport
Thursday ready to fly 6000 miles to mine, but his flight was on Friday!
So while he when home and slept until the next days travels, I just slept
at the airport instead of driving back home in LA traffic. Picture two
is me resting comfortably until Friday. |
A smoke
filled studio—"Rocka Billy" blasting from the CD player—beer
bottles and shot glasses all over the place—can only mean one thing,
Simon’s here! That’s right, the Biz is back in LA and pounding
away another major project you all are going to freak over! (I’ll
tell you about that in a minute)
Once we got back to the house, we had to tell many a "war story"
of all the adventures we had between his last visit to the west coast
for San Diego, and now—the old tongues were wagging so much mine
got stuck! Here you see in picture three, Simon is trying to get my tongue
going again to finish my story. |

I wanted
to show you one more photo of a corner of my studio the way it was (picture
four) before Simon came to work, and next week I’ll show you what
it looks like then. Big fun, maybe I’ll keep taking pictures of
the studio throughout his trip to show the progression. |
|
Lets see what else is going on this week on the site. We’re still
trying to get back on a regular schedule of updates for many of the channels,
we’ve got more of "I Shot My Wife," "2 Drunk Idiots"
"Scouting Tang" and "Julie’s greatest Hits"
coming this week, as well as updates for "The Best of Bisley"
and the "TMNT" section. If we get things sorted out, you’ll
get to see some of Simons new works that didn’t make it into his art book
(which is still available in the store) and some extremely cool
Glen Fabrey TMNT paintings that have never been published! |
| For fun
and games past and present, Saturday morning we had a bunch of friends
around the house to hang out with Simon for a welcome back to LA barbecue,
and Julie decided to show everyone how all the beautiful women out here
drink beer in picture five. This weekend, the 15th, were all heading over
to the "Glamour Con" where Julie and her sister Lizzy will be
signing with Andy Sidaris his new Heavy Metal book, "Bullets,
Bombs, and Babes" at the Golden Apple booth. Then
it is off to watch "System of a Down" jam Saturday night. I’ll
try to get some pictures of all those events to share with you next week. |

Lastly,
picture six, here we have a sample of Simons new project, a one hundred
page book of stunning pencil illustrations, and paintings of scenes from
the "Bible!"
No misprint there kids, you read it right, Simon is working out of my
studio finishing up the last ten drawings, and three paintings over the
next five weeks. We’re planning to solicit for it as a February
2004 release, but will be offering discounts here on the site for preorders
once we get a final price on it, as well as a special site only special
edition. More details on that to come as well. |
Okay,
that’s it for me this time—looking forward to chatting back
at ya soon—should have lots of nutty tales and photos to share.
Cool Beans, Kevin |
